New: Wastewater Master Plan and Final EIR

To address the need for additional sewer treatment facilities in Ione, the City is in the process of updating its Wastewater Master Plan. A draft Master Plan was released for public comment on August 10, 2009 and a final version was released December 4, 2009. The Master Plan is available for download and review below.

Concurrent with the release of the draft Sewer Master Plan, the City has also released for public comment the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for the Wastewater Master Plan. The public comment period on the DEIR closed September 24, 2009. Subsequently the City prepared a Final EIR. The DEIR and Final EIR are available for download and review below.

    Credit Card Payments Now Accepted! Your sewer bill can now be paid using a credit card bearing the Visa or Mastercard symbol over the phone, counter, or as a recurring charge. The sewer invoice now contains the necessary form required to make a credit card payment. You can click here to download the necessary form to set up a recurring charge or pick one up at City Hall.     As a reminder, your sewer invoice is due on the last business day of the month. All payments need to be received by mail or dropped off to City Hall by 4:30pm. If you are experiencing a sewer problem, call City Hall at 209-274-2412 xt 100 during business hours or 209-987-0003 after business, holidays, and weekends. A member of the waste water treatment staff will be dispatched to your location and may be able to evaluate the problem.
