Draft Housing Element Now Available for Review!
The City of Ione participated with Amador County and the cities in the County to prepare the Countywide 6th Cycle Housing Element.  The Draft Countywide 6th Cycle Housing Element is now available for review and comment.  The Draft Countywide 6th Cycle Housing Element includes the following:
- Housing Plan: The Housing Plan includes programs applicable to all jurisdictions, as well as specific actions that Ione will implement during the 2021-2029 planning period.
- Background Report: The Background Report includes an overview of housing needs, including demographics and socioeconomic data, constraints to housing development, and an analysis of fair housing issues.
- Ione Annex: The Countywide Housing Element includes an annex for each jurisdiction  The Ione Annex includes a review of the City of Ione's requirements and standards for housing development, including constraints to the development of housing, and an inventory of  residential sites anticipated to be available for development during the 2021-2029 planning period.  The inventory of residential sites demonstrates the ability of the City to accommodate its Regional Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA) of 117 units.
