Vehicles are available for release between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, as time is required to process the necessary paperwork.

Vehicle releases require a $126 release fee and will only be released to the registered owner or their designee with a permission statement from the legal owner. Proof of insurance and registration are also required. A licensed driver is required to release the vehicle.
Property, including vehicles, that have been confiscated or impounded during an investigation as evidence, will not be released until the investigation has been completed and a written order from the Amador County District Attorney's office or court order has been received.
